KATIE DRUMMONDS, CONOR MCDONOUGH, AND MARIA PASSO JOIN SPERLING KENNY NACHWALTER

September 5, 2025 - Sperling Kenny Nachwalter is pleased to announce that Katie Drummonds has joined the firm as senior counsel, and Conor McDonough and Maria Passo have joined as associates.

Katie is based in the firm’s Nashville office, where she represents clients in complex antitrust matters. She leverages her experience at the Federal Trade Commission and in private practice to offer a unique perspective on how regulators approach antitrust cases. At the FTC, she investigated healthcare, consumer products, grocery, and retail industries, and litigated in federal court. Before joining the FTC, she worked in the antitrust practice group of an Am Law-listed firm, where she provided counseling and represented clients in merger investigations, price-fixing, and consumer protection matters.

Conor is based in the firm’s Chicago office, where he represents clients in antitrust, securities, commodities, and white-collar matters. He has managed federal cases involving fraud, racketeering, and public corruption, and defended clients in criminal antitrust and securities fraud investigations. Conor also advises clients in internal and governmental investigations and enforcement proceedings before the DOJ, SEC, CFTC, FINRA, FBI, and state regulators. He speaks Arabic.

Maria joins the firm’s Miami office, where she focuses on complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, shareholder derivative actions, and other commercial claims. She brings an international legal background, holding Juris Doctor degrees from Florida International University and IBMEC in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, graduating summa cum laude from both institutions. She is fluent in English and Portuguese, with working proficiency in Spanish.
